Payroll Vault was founded by Sean Manning, a CPA based out of Denver Colorado. Not long after he took over his father’s CPA firm in 1998, he started getting requests from clients to help them with their payroll. He quickly saw that this service industry was under-serving the small business community.
For the next 10 years, Sean worked to create a streamlined payroll process that was efficient, affordable and exceeded client expectations. In 2008, Sean brought in Tricia Petteys, a highly knowledgeable payroll professional and spun off the payroll side of his firm, calling it Payroll Vault. In 2012, Payroll Vault became Payroll Vault Franchising and offices started to open across the U.S.
